Best Dressed Man of Wimbledon - 2019

Wimbledon has drawn to a close for another year, tennis lovers all around the world are left to reflect on the past few weeks tennis and, also the who’s with who, who’s wearing what and all the glitz and glamour that comes by association.

From Coco’s Wimbledon fairy-tale, the hopes of a nation weighing heavily on Johanna and ultimately Serana succumbing to Simona.  One of the greatest finals of all time between the forever young, fans favourite Federer and the unbelievable focused champion Djokovic. There was something for those of a sentimental nature too, with the MurRena pairing in the mixed doubles.

Who’s who - we were pleasantly surprised with some royal appearances during this year’s event. Duchesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle both ventured court side across day two and four until they joined each other on centre court as finals weekend approached.  Many other celebs showed their support throughout the finals weekend, David Beckham and son, Brooklyn.  Kendall Jenner and many more.

Let’s get to the main event - while Wimbledon is one of the country’s greatest sporting events, this year was extra special due to some of the STUPENDOUS fashion statements made by the guests and spectators.

Our favourite must be Justin O’Shea, e-tailor and buying director for menswear label mytheresa.com.  Justin’s motivation is “‘to be fashions black sheep” and to “never live life by half measures”.

Justin wowed us with an impeccably tailored wide peak lapelled white suit in wool linen, a classic blue reverse striped shirt with white collar finish and a signature Wimbledon inspired tie by Ralph Lauren.

The look was complimented by high waist trousers with a turn up and black monk strap shoes with alligator leather detailing.

The simplistic natural tones and textures in the white linen suit don’t only allow for a bold fashion forward statement in the tennis inspired tie, but also create the perfect balance of comfort and sartorial style. Linen allows for the perfect lightweight, breathable suit for a summers day at Wimbledon.
